Zvezda VS. 3D Sun!

Ok! I've finally finished my response to Melrae Pictures' 3D Sun, [http://www.3dsunfilm.com/] which is playing at museums and IMAX screens across the country. I think the focus of their movie was more the new technology that has been discovered, namely, their "twin satelites" [which they mention approximately 43,213 times] and how they are applying them. The main focus of my movie was the Sun in general and, of course, delivered in a more unique and entertaining way. I have never been a fan of 3D IMAX movies that cut to full screen shots of scientists talking. Where's the 3D and wonder in watching someone talk? This shot is more suited for the small-screen "series" documentary, not a full-length, IMAX feature...a 3D feature at that. I did my best to give the audience that experience. Up-close, personal and majestic! I think, when compared to a multi million dollar budgeted studio's capabilities, professional sound, graphics and film editing, and multi-personal task handling, I held my own. Of course, that's just my biased opinion. I suggest you see both and ask yourself if you'd like to see a longer version of my film up there in IMAX 3D, or theirs.

You can watch my version on youtube, below!

Zvezda, our star, the Sun!

I'm happy to say that I just finished writing the text for the newest film "Zvezda, our star, the Sun". I actually visited the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC this past weekend with my friend and saw an Imax 3D movie about the sun. I thought it was ok, but I felt like it was a nice challenge to see if me, working as a single entity could out due a professional studio boasting a multi-million dollar Imax feature film. Of course, I have a zero dollar budget, as usual, and a much smaller scale, but I feel that the way I convey my version is enough to show the world what I can do. I think the music is not as epic sounding in "Zvezda" as it was for "La Luna", the film I did about the moon. The latter was among my favorites but I decided that the two should not carry the same kind of backdrop or else every film I did that related to space might start to run together. Another new feature will be the addition of my friend Jeni as the new voice of The-School.org. I like her voice and felt that Patricia, my cousin had represented the first series of films well and that she will be the first voice and a new voice should appear with every series added. Change is good. But not too much change, haha!

Diatoms

I officially began work on a new film about diatoms about 3 weekends ago. Diatoms are somewhat microscopic organisms, most commonly, algae and plankton. I probably shouldn't have started working on this since I still have a film about the Sun, Mozart, Skin, The Hadron Collider, the Battle of Cannae and DNA to finish...not to mention the films I haven't even started drafting yet. But it's ok, because I don't have deadlines to meet and because my films are not rushed, they still carry the same quality and originality that the first series did. I think. :)
I have so far completed the first nine and half of the second nine. There will be 27 films total in the Circle Triangle Square series, and I'm not sure what I will do next. Suggestions? Anyone? I have recieved some positive feedback from the first nine. Alas, I don't have any money to promote them. I just hope the people the stumble across them enjoy them. I suppose I could make more, we'll see what time permits.

Look!

I make films to inspire you.
My goal is to show you something you've never seen before, hear about the wonders of earth in a fun way and stir the creativity you have inside of you.
I want you to be glued to the screen and come away smiling.
Everything I have ever learned has been through my own trial and error.
I am proof that to succeed, you don't need a diploma, only your imagination.
I am proof that to create something original and new, you needn't be born with such abilities.
I am proof that persistence, dedication, hard work and above all, having fun, can lead you to your dreams.

But at the end of the day, I just hope you like what I make.
I do my best.
I dream of recognition, but I get the most satisfaction out of your smile.
